electrical thing going on because the doors did not lock. Well, the car
did not start... but an alarm starting going off! We bought this car in
Feb 2007 and had no idea there was an alarm! We bought it from a small
used dealership, so l do not think they will know what is going on either.
So we are thinking that this alarm that has suddenly starting working is
preventing the car from being cranked. Even though he used the key to
enter the car and to try and start it. We do not have a remote thing, so
that worries me. Our system in the Durango required the remote to work! So
what is going on? And why is it suddenly ''working''? Also, who should l
call for professional help with the issue? Just a regular garage?
/>Oh, yeah, It is a 1997 Honda Accord.
l intend to remove it, since
we have doing okay ''without'' it for a year now. l am just confused on
why it just started working. Also, could there be a switch or something
that we can push to be able to start it? It is all so confusing!
/>Ok... we found a black button on the bottom of the dashboard. Pressed
and held it and then cranked the car. The alarm went off and the car
started. killed the car, got out, locked the doors, and then unlocked the
doors, to test the alarm. The car cranked without having to push the
button again. So it is fixed for now.
